- I grew up in Dorset, UK, in a house full of books, which pretty much set me up as a lifetime bibliophile. I develop a definite nervous tick if I don't get through at least three books a week. Despite my job as a librarian and being surrounded by books all day, I can't get enough of the written word and come home from my work to read, or write myself. I have very diverse tastes although my preferences are for all things speculative whether childrens', YA, New Adult or Adult. Anything beautifully written with a rich engaging plot and characters that interest me will get my vote though. I'm an active member of Goodreads, where I also post reviews. I love it when I've got a new book recommendation for someone I just know is going to love the book in question as much as me. Other interests include martial arts and running.
