My Review:

An angel born of evil and created for destruction, Asmodeus is sent to retrieve a female for his master, but Liora awakens new feelings in his black heart and unleashes a passion and desire he cannot resist in this fascinating paranormal romance. The is lots of spine tingling tension and excitement throughout the story as the couple fight for their forever after and while the story is serious with lots of passion there are some humorous moments along the way to lighten things up a bit. There was no way I could put this story down until I had read every last word and I can’t wait to read the next one but I do want to recommend that readers at least read books four and five before reading this one for complete enjoyment and understanding of what is happening in this complex world.

Dark, dangerous and deadly, Asmodeus is the King of Demons and was created millennia ago when the Devil first defeated Apollyon, Heaven's great angel of destruction. The Devil tortured Apollyon to the brink of insanity before drawing all that was evil out of him and then killing him. He used the blood of Apollyon to create Asmodeus, his own dark destroyer.

Asmodeus is more than content with his situation as the Devil's right hand man, and has spent his entire life in Hell, carrying out his master's commands. He is happiest when torturing demons or mortals for information or fun, or merely to amuse his master. While he lived with the Devil in his fortress for countless centuries, he now lives in his own black castle in the wastelands of Hell, and allows none to venture close to it.

Manner of Dress: When appearing to mortals, he often dresses casually, preferring to wear black jeans, leather biker boots, and black button-down shirts.

Combat Skills: Being of the same blood as Apollyon, Asmodeus has infinite power of destruction. He is extremely skilled with a sword and in hand-to-hand combat, and is relentless during battles. He takes pleasure in striking fear into his enemies yet fears nothing in battle. When he's fighting, he feels at peace with the world. It's what he was born to do and that's when he feels most comfortable with himself.

Liora is a troublemaker with a capital T and has been ever since she lost her parents at age 12. Raised by her coven in London, she frequently got herself and others into trouble during her teenage years and hasn't stopped since. Her coven leaders describe her as hot-headed, dangerous and a liability, but they also recognise her abilities with magic and her importance as an exceptionally skilled demon hunter.

She can be reckless and her confidence has seen her go after prey that were far too big for her and her team of witches to handle, a problem that has placed her team mates in danger several times and has seen Liora side-lined and punished. Whenever that happens, Liora trains harder, so next time she faces that species of demon, she can defeat it. She's an extremely determined woman who doesn't let anyone push her around or put ideas in her head, and once she has made up her mind, she can be stubborn and inflexible. She lives her own life.

She grew up visiting her cousin, Serenity, and her family in Paris, France, with them visiting her in London in return. Serenity’s friendship with Liora keeps her grounded and she is always the first person Liora turns to when she needs help or advice.
