My Review:

War is set to ignite and darkness is on the rise, faced with life shattering revelations and extraordinary destinies, Erin and Veiron race to escape the Devil’s legions in a journey fraught with danger and filled with passion in this breathtaking paranormal romance. This complex story centers around Erin and Veiron, but the war between Heaven and Hell is making things difficult for all of the characters as they are on the most wanted dead or alive list of both sides. There are lots of twists and turns that keep the reader guessing and I couldn’t put this very intriguing story down until I had read every last word. While most of the series is stand alone, I must recommend that the reader’s read Her Guardian Angel before they read this one as it is the beginning of this war and of course since the war is not over yet, I can’t wait to read the next one.

Veiron takes his position as a Hell's angel very seriously. He's disobedient and cocky, has an evil streak ten miles wide, and keeps everyone at a distance with his sharp tongue and dangerous appearance. Intelligent and calculating, he uses his wits in battle and in life, always determined to come out on top and be the victor, refusing to allow anyone to best him ever again.

He's a man of no regrets and he will do anything to upset the apple cart and change the path of his life for the better. Driven by a cold, hard hunger for vengeance, he's on a mission to end both Heaven and Hell, and if he can kill the Devil in the process, all the better. He despises Heaven almost as much as he hates Hell.

His past has coloured his feelings where angels are concerned and it takes a lot for him to trust anyone coming from above.

While he might appear dark, malicious, and soulless, Veiron is the kind of man who would die to protect someone he loves. Physical Appearance Notes: Has two stages to his appearance. In the first stage, he has huge crimson feathered wings. In the second stage, the red drains from his feathers like blood, revealing black feathers which then fall away until his wings are dragon-like with dark membrane. He also grows three feet taller and broader, his skin turns black, and his eyes burn red, and his teeth turn crimson and sharpen to points. In both stages, he wears black armour edged with scarlet that covers his chest/upper back, strips that cover his hips, greaves that protect his shins and vambraces that protect his forearms. Black boots beneath his greaves. His vambraces are black decorated with red roses.

Height: 6'4"

Build: Muscular, well-built, powerful with a raw sense of masculinity.

Hair Colour / Style: Scarlet and long, worn in a ponytail tied with a leather thong tipped with two silver bells.

Eye Colour: Dark, almost ebony, often ringed with red.

Manner of Speech: Quite snarky and derisive, and very quick tempered. He's rough around the edges and has a dark heart, and that bleeds through into things he says. He enjoys verbally tormenting the angels and often refers to Einar as Wingless. Tendency to swear.

Manner of Dress: When not wearing his armour, he prefers black jeans, heavy boots, and black t-shirts and a beaten up leather jacket that has dark red stitched angel wings on the back.

Tattoos / Scars: Matching black and red tribal tattoos that curl around his biceps, over his shoulders and flow down his shoulder-blades to enclose his wings.

Partner: Erin.

Preferred Weapon: A double ended spear with red curved blades around the length of his forearm. The staff is short, the same length as one of the blades, but he can extend it at will. Staff is black and inlaid with a red design. The spear can break apart into two shorter blades.

Combat Skills: Fights hard and fights to win, employing any method that will allow him to achieve victory. Vicious, commanding and powerful, he's a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Prefers to go demonic when fighting as it enhances his strength and speed. Exceptionally skilled with his double ended spear, but will also deal in hand-to-hand combat and can fight using swords too.

Other Skills: Veiron can create portals to Hell and can also create portals on Earth too, allowing him to travel quickly from one point to another. Like all angels, can materialise objects such as weapons, armour, etc.

Erin is sassy, smart-mouthed and confident, and has a tendency to take things in her stride, but there were times during the beginning of her relationship with Veiron when she was scared as hell and just wanted to run and hide from everything that was happening. She does her best to be strong and cares a great deal about those she loves, always placing her family before herself. Erin isn't a woman who will break or bend easily, and she will do whatever it takes to protect her loved ones. She regrets that she wasn't there when her mother was killed so she couldn't save her. She lived at home into her twenties and ended up moving out after her mother's death, needing her own space and a new start. She has lived in some rundown areas and dated some questionable men, including a few biker boys and one who cheated on her. She's drawn to dark and dangerous men, even though she knows they're probably just going to end up hurting her.

She isn't backwards about being forwards, so when Veiron walked into her life and she felt attracted to him, she set out to crack open his armour and win his heart, and didn't stop until it was hers.

Manner of Dress: Erin prefers black, black and more black, with the occasional injection of colour in her wardrobe. She tends to dress quite rebelliously, pairing short skirts with tights, boots and t-shirts and her leather jacket. She also likes to wear black jeans with her boots, and jumpers in dark tones like purple or red.

Tattoos / Scars: She has a dragon on her back, curled around her spine.

Partner: Veiron.

Parents: Andrew and Melanie.

Siblings: Amelia.
