Blurb:
Soren and Faith must find a way to survive the evil and darkness.
Faith’s spur of the moment vacation, meant to free her and boost her spirits, has left her lost on the streets of Paris. And apparently, Paris is populated with something more than just humans. Vampires, suave, seductive and oh so sexy, and one such warrior vampire has set his sights on her.
When Soren hears Faith’s terrified screams, he rushes in and saves her life without considering the consequences. Two problems: one, she’s a human and clearly aware of his vampire qualities, and two, the men who attacked her were not men at all, but demons. Their target, his beloved underground city of Balinese. He can never let Faith go home again, but can she learn to love his people...love him?
My Review:
After being attacked by demons and saved by the sexy vampire, Soren, Faith is whisked away to his home only to find that together they will have to find a way to survive the evil and darkness when his home becomes the demons target in this thrilling paranormal romance.
A fast pace and smooth flowing plot keeps readers shivering in anticipation with plenty of suspense, excitement and romance. Jen Colly brings her story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and the well orchestrated suspense and action adds excitement and draws the reader deeper into the story. The characters are strong compelling and grab the reader’s attention while the fascinating world ensures that the reader can’t put the book down.
The attraction between Faith and Soren builds throughout the story and the reader can’t help but get caught up in it as the couple tries to find a way to make their two very different cultures mesh and of course Faith has to find a way to cope with having her world turned upside down. But the more Faith learns about Soren, the more the desire for him grows, but what the demons are up to keeps Soren a little busy and things a little tense between them and adds spine tingling tension and excitement for the reader.
When I first read the synopsis I almost decided to pass on this one but I love vampires, it sounded intriguing and underground cities really caught my interest so I decided to give it a chance and I must say that I am pleased that I did. The world is fascinating with some interesting and different elements, captivating characters and the starts off fast and pretty much stays that way throughout. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series and I will be keeping my eye on this author.
