My Review:

The Ninth book in the Pride series is an intriguing and thrilling action packed shapeshifter romance.  Getting through life’s irritants is a finely honed skilled for honey badger, Livy Kowalski.  Hybrid shifter Vic Barinov keeps coming home and finding Livy in his cabinets devouring his honey stash which gets his animal instincts all riled up. These two are in for a few surprises when all hell breaks loose with Livy leading the charge.

This steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of action, suspense, humor, drama and romance.  The author paints a vivid picture of each and every scene which draws the reader deeper into the story. The characters are strong, compelling, charming, easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning and keeps it to the very end.

The attraction between Livy and Vic is a slow burning flame that steadily gets hotter throughout the book sneaking up on them.  The sex scenes are hot, steamy and sizzling with lots of passion that stimulates the senses.  The relationship between the couple is filled with aggravation, friendship, loyalty, violence and humor that keep the reader tense with anticipation as they wait to see what will happen next.  Lizzy fits right in with the shifters of the Pride series, she is a no-nonsense, tough female that can certainly take care of herself and Vic is the kind of quiet keep to himself mysterious type that intrigues the readers.

The story is filled with laughter and romance as well humorous violence situations and violence toward the bad guys which makes for a very entertaining read.  I waited impatiently for this book and I was not disappointed, Shelly Laurenston gives readers a world full enchanting and intriguing vibrant characters that captures the imagination and ensures that the readers are fascinated with each and every story and character.  Each story has unique freshness and its own quirky personality that jumps off the pages keeping the reader very entertained.
