My Review:

Austin Montgomery is ready to settle down. Finding a man is the last thing on Sierra Elder’s mind. But their attraction has them warily embarking on tempestuous burn of a relationship, that is until their past intrudes and it will take more than a promise of what could be to keep them together in this captivating contemporary romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot mesmerizes readers with suspense and romance. Carrie Ann Ryan holds readers captive with well written scenes and details that bring the story to life and gripping suspense that draws the reader deeper into the story and ensures that they want to know everything there is to know about her strong and compelling characters.

The romance builds throughout the story as the couple gives into their desire and embarks on a sensuous and passionate affair including frequent sizzling hot sex scenes. The reader can’t help but get caught up in their story as they try to handle past emotional issues, present family issues and each other. The story grips the heart and Austin and Sierra capture the heart as they handle all the pitfalls that life throws at them and while I alternated on which one needed a swift kick in the rear, it certainly added spice and excitement to the story.

The author adds quite a few surprises that the reader doesn’t see coming…well the characters didn’t see them coming either and gives readers a story of a charismatic family that the reader can totally relate to, one  that reflects all of life’s ups and downs and stands together through it all. The Montgomery family and their friends are definitely ones that I want to know all about, so I can’t wait to read the next book.
