Supernatural matchmaker Tessa Dandridge knows a little mist here and a little magic there will help reckless werewolves and precocious pixies find love. That is, until her magical Smythe scroll is lost in her repo’ed car and she can’t contact her V.I.P. clients. To connect with an important client cavorting in the fifth dimension, Tessa must depend on handsome Rob Shin, a warlock repo man, to enter Limbo and find her Smythe scroll.
Rob has money problems of his own, thanks to the bank determined to foreclose on his elderly aunt and uncle’s home. Repossessing magic wands and cursed pianos from disgruntled warlocks isn’t the best pay, but the Navy SEAL works well as a repo man to pay off his family’s debts. Rob’s repossession jobs catch up with him when a powerful warlock seeks to end his life for his constant meddling, drawing Tessa in the middle.
My Review:
The first novel in the Warlock Repo Man Chronicles is an intriguing fantasy romance with refreshingly unique elements.
Tessa Dandridge is a supernatural magic who knows that a little mist and magic will help others find love. That is until a certain repo man, repossesses her car with a magical scroll which her only contact with a few of her more influential clients. Now she must depend on Rob’s help or lose her business. Navy Seal Rob Shin is on medical leave and to help out family with money problems he’s taken on a temporary job as a magical repo man. He agrees to help Tessa, but he never counted on putting her life in danger by getting her caught in a war between wizards and warlocks.
This steady paced plot has action, suspense and romance with some interesting concepts that grab the reader’s attention. The author brings the story to life with vivid images and bewitching characters that are easily related to.
The relationship between Rob and Tessa starts off rocky as they refuse to give in to their attraction but the passion that sizzles between the two radiates from every page. The emotions and personalities of the characters are conveyed with intensity making them believable and life like.
The author has created an intriguing world of wizards and warlocks that capture the imagination and entertain readers with some unique and refreshing elements that make for an enjoyable read. The reader’s get caught up in Rob and Tessa’s story and have to keep reading to the very end.
I enjoyed the story and founds the story line very interesting and I really liked how Shawntelle Madison handled the battle at the end it was magical but believable. There were a few instances where I had doubts about the story, but I couldn’t really figure out a reason for my misgivings, so I will have to reserve my final opinion on this series until I read the next one.

About Shawntelle Madison
(Off author’s site)
Shawntelle loves to write stories where something mysterious always happens. Her stories unfold in either a magical place or she drop kicks her heroine and hero into the mix of crazy magical circumstances. Her characters have been swimming around in her head for the longest of time, but its only recently that she has given into their demands and wrote down their adventures.
Why paranormal? Well, every time she thinks about writing something straight forward she gets caught in the what-if exercise. What if her hero was a werewolf or if her heroine was a nymph? How far could she go down the rabbit hole and not sound crazy? (Yet still be somewhat believable?)
Writing is one of her first loves, besides web development. She is a die hard geek who earned her undergraduate degree in Math from Iowa State University. (She even almost finished a degree in Russian Studies.)
Her debut novel, Coveted, was chosen as a B&N Romance Bookseller pick for the month of May.
She currently lives in Missouri with her husband and children (the Den of Evil).
