What the book has to say:
Lion Breed, Rule Breaker had just a few rules he didn't break. Not for anything. Not for anyone.
#1. Never have sex with a woman outside his own subspecies, especially a human woman.
#2. Never, at any time, accept a mission concerning a female when Jonas Wyatt stinks of a lie.
#3. Run don't walk, skip or stumble. Run, hell for leather away from any female, human or breed, when his desire for her appears, in any way, to have so much as a single sign of Mating Heat.
Now, the woman believes he's mated, is too helpless, to fun loving and too full of life to ever be able to protect herself, let alone aide him in protecting her.
If the damned animal inside him insisted on a mate, then why pick the woman it did? One that could be struck out at, at any time?
But, what he suspected was a mating, may not be. No swollen glands? No heat? Just his animal instincts rioting, pacing, irritated whenever he's away from her.
Okay, he could handle that.
What ensues is a fiery affair that breaks all the rules of mating heat and will eventually endanger his mate with the very rules designed to protect the breeds when Jonas learns she's possibly been working against them.
What I have to say:
Rule Breaker is determined to never put a mate at risk and he has rules to ensure that he never finds one but the lion inside will break all the rules of mating heat in this exciting paranormal romance.
The fine line between animal instinct and human desire is put to the test when Rule tries to protect Gypsy from herself and the reader can't help but get caught up in the passion and excitement of Gypsy and Rule's romance as the rules concerning mating heat are thrown out the window. These strong compelling characters stun readers with their vibrant personalities and stubborn nature while stealing their hearts with their emotional issues and the attraction between Rule and Gypsy scorches readers with fiery hot passion. The plot is fast paced and smooth flowing and captivates readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance while the fascinating world continues to compel readers to keep coming back for more.
Spine tingling expectation and tension holds the readers captive as Gypsy is targeted by Jonah as being one of the people working against him in his quest to find the bengal that can save his daughter which adds lots of excitement as the bad guys begin to target Gypsy as well with Gypsy's secrets adding additional danger and spice. The author describes the scenes with vivid details that capture the imagination and bring the story to life while the well orchestrated events draw the readers in and refuses to let them go.
I was completely caught up in this story from the very beginning and there was no way I could put the story down once I began reading it. I love this series and all the characters so I really can't say that I have a favorite but Rule comes close to taking that spot, of course that could change with the next exciting chapter of The Breeds and I can't wait to read it.
