My Review:

Labeled an abomination and forever banished, Veruka (Rue) Jennings has spent most of her life believing she is worthless until two lions, James and John help her save her son in this captivating paranormal romance.

The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and bring the story to life in this fast paced and smooth flowing plot. Rue captures the heart with her tragic past (because of her ignorant ass family) and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as John and James try to teach her trust and to convince her that she can stop running. There’s no problem in the attraction department, the chemistry between these three are red hot and explodes from the pages in some scorching sex scenes including m/f/m scenes. John and James also have some past issues that really has them pushing for their mate and really I think I fell hard for these two sexy lions.

There’s never a dull moment in this book not only from the passion and courting of Rue who causes a few exciting scenes of her own, but also from the danger of her former clan when they kidnap her son and it takes the Ashland Pride and friends to save Rue and her son from the crazy cat and Rue’s parents.

 R.E. Butler also ensures that the readers are kept on their toes with lots surprising twists and provides an emotionally gripping subject that ends in a heartwarming happily ever after. This is a fascinating series with strong compelling characters that draw the reader into the story and ensure that the reader comes back for more. I was completely enthralled with the story from the very beginning and I can’t wait to read the next one in this series, of course I am always ready to read sexy hot shifters…how about you?

The Ashland pride series is a spin-off series based on characters from the third The Wolf’s Mate book Callie & The Cats. After Callie’s book was published, the response from fans wanting to know more about the mountain lion pride was overwhelming and the series was born.

The first book in the series, Seducing Samantha stars two of the uncles of the heroes of Callie’s story, and features a m/f/m ménage relationship. Future books in the series will also feature ménage relationships of the m/f/m variety, with no touching for titillation between the men.
