My Review:

Raphael and Cyn head to Chicago for the competition to see who will be the new Vampire Lord of the Midwest but they are being hunted by someone determined to stop Raphael and his mate from ever reaching Chicago in this thrilling vampire novella.

There is never a dull moment in this fast paced and smooth flowing plot filled with action, suspense and passion. The story comes to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and the well orchestrated action and suspense draw the reader deeper into the story ensuring they read every last word.

Cyn and Raphael’s passion continues to the scorch the reader with their fiery sex scenes and obvious devotion to each other. They are one of my favorite couples of the vampire world, their desire and love for each other are the stuff legends are made of and the reader can’t help but get caught up in it.

Tension builds throughout the story as an enemy stalks them with a little heated spice being added to the story when just who the bad guy is after comes into question. Of course, since danger and excitement seem to find Cyn no matter where she goes it’s a good thing she is the tough take no nonsense person she is.  This story is an exciting and fascinating quick read in the Vampires in America series and introduces a new sexy vampire for us readers to drool over and it doesn’t hurt that Lucas is in this story as well.
