My Review:

The first book in a riveting new paranormal series keeps readers on the edge. Aurelia has always been treated as a freak and has resigned herself to always being mateless until Ciethin Starkley comes to town. But even as the sparks fly and they explore possibilities another has plans and Aurelia’s time is running out.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot tension and emotions running high with lots of suspense, drama, and romance.  The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and the well orchestrated suspense arouses curiosity and draws the reader deeper into the story.  The intriguing characters are strong, compelling, easily understood and grabs the reader’s attention from the very beginning and spine tingling tension builds throughout the book as the unknown danger stalks Aurelia.

The pull between Aurelia and Ceithin is strong, but this mating is no way assured even after they give in to the chemistry and have mind blowing red hot sex. Ceithin’s not sure he even believes in true mating and he’s sure not looking for a mate and Aurelia’s past leads her not believe it will happen to her.  The reader can’t help but get emotionally caught up in Aurelia’s story and feel a whole spectrum of emotions throughout the story from chuckles, tears, anger and outrage.  The intrigue of why Aurelia is unable to shift adds additional spice to the story and the unknown stalker adds excitement and danger to this already fantastic story.

The author has created a fascinating world of shifters and captivating mix of characters that each adds their own intrigue to this story.  The author keeps the reader guessing throughout the story ensuring they can’t put the book down until they have read the very last world and I can’t wait to read the next one.
