My Review:

Pointy-toothed vampy shifter Jamie Ampton has a bad habit of attracting the wrong sort of man and now it seems she’s attracted one that always takes what he wants in this captivating paranormal romance.

Steady to fast paced, this Jamesburg romance captivates readers with a sexy bad boy bear and an elegantly detached bat girl. Ryan has got plans for helping out Jamesburg’s aging shifters whether Erik helps or not and when he sees Jamie, she becomes part of his plans as well but Jamie has no intention of falling for another of the wrong sort of man. The reader can’t help but get caught up in Jamie and Ryan’s unorthodox but charming relationship as the two dances around their desires and try to handle emotional issues all at one time. The strong compelling characters charm the reader right out of their socks and invite them to visit with the eccentric but lovable Jamesburg crew once again.

The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and bring Jamesburg right into the reader’s home and ensure they come back for more. Snarky dialogue and fun situations invite chuckles that brighten up some pretty heavy emotional issues in this romance, from turmoil left over from Jamie’s heartbreak in the past and the situation with some of the forgotten citizens of Jamesburg and some strangers are in town adding excitement and spice to the story as well.

I love that Lynn Red takes such refreshingly different characters and puts them into some intense but wacky situations and creates a quirky, fun and heartwarming story that holds reader captive from the very beginning. There is never a dull moment and there’s always something new to enthrall readers and surprising twist to keep readers wondering what’s going to happen next and I am so glad that Jamie finally got her story.
