Ashlynn Blake, minor goddess of the hunt—lethal, beautiful, and able to connect with animals on a psychic level—is the perfect person to place judgment upon an accused dragon. But first she has to prove to the gods that Ty Sullivan is innocent of his crimes. If she fails, she’s doomed to lose her heart along with him forever.
Ty’s been beaten, scarred, and betrayed by females. He doesn’t trust them, can’t stand being around them for longer than he or his dragon needs to be. Yet, when he meets Ashlynn, his dragon is ready to mate, but the man believes she’s no different than the others.
The Fates have thrown them together, forcing secrets to be told and igniting a passion so fierce it may destroy both of them.
My Review:
Page turning suspense and excitement abound in the second Sons of War book. After being beaten, tortured and betrayed by females, Ty’s has reason not to trust any female. Ashlynn Blake, a minor goddess of the hunt is sent to place judgment on the accused dragon, but she is going to prove him innocent first… that is if she can get Ty to trust her and accept her as his mate.
This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of suspense, action, drama and romance. The author paints vivid pictures of each scene with well written details that capture the imagination and ensure that the reader feels as if they are taking part in the story. The well orchestrated actions scenes are exciting and believable and the strong compelling characters are easily understood and draw the reader deeper into the story.
The mating between Ty and Ash is combustible and the sex scenes are hot and steamy, but the relationship is complicated by the events taking place and Ty’s past. The physical scars are not the only scars Ty has to deal with, emotional scars can cripple in the strongest of dragons, but luckily Ty has Ash and his brothers on his side and the reader can’t help but get caught up in all the drama.
As they try to unravel the truth of what happened to Ty and the death of Elizabeth, more secrets are revealed that affect them all including some personal ones for Ash. And just to keep things exciting, more captivating characters are introduced are more enemies are revealed as well, there was no way to put down this book once I started and I certainly can’t wait to read the next one, but I’ll let you in on a little secret, I think I fell in love with Ty.
