My Review:

Audrey and Jackson take in a young mother whose past comes roaring into town and threatens to destroy everything in its path including Audrey and the Ugly Stick Saloon in this emotionally gripping contemporary western romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing romance captures the heart just in time for the holidays as Audrey and Jackson struggle with losing their sexual spontaneity because they are trying to get pregnant. The reader can’t help but feel for the couple and get caught up in their story as Audrey and Jackson grab the reader’s attention with their strong personalities as they draw the reader deeper into the story.

The well written scenes and details bring the story to life and spine tingling tension builds as danger stalks the runaway mother, but at the same time the danger reminds Audrey and Jackson just what they have in their love for each other.  The Ugly Stick Saloon is a fun and loving setting that makes the perfect backdrop for these captivating characters and loving relationships. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the small town friendly atmosphere where everyone looks out for each other and invites the reader’s to join them.

The story is short but passionate and really captures the imagination as well as the heart and I was completely caught up from the very beginning. You don’t have to read the stories in sequence because they are stand alone, but  as Audrey owns the Ugly Stick Saloon a piece of her and Jackson’s story is in every book and I do recommend that you at least read Boots and Chaps as that is the where Audrey and Jackson met.
