Release Day Review: A Very Levet Christmas (Guardians of Eternity #11.5) by Alexandra Ivy

Blurb:

A gargoyle of Levet's charm and intelligence should not be facing a solitary Christmas. True, he may appear a little unconventional, not to mention unconventionally little even for a gargoyle. But what Levet lacks in height he makes up for in loyalty, and being banned from the festivities surrounding the Queen of Weres' new pups is quite unfair.

So when a beautiful Christmas angel begs for help in fulfilling her duties, Levet has nothing better to do than agree. Armed with a magical wand, Levet confronts Damon, a pureblood Were intent on seizing the throne. Challenging the King will put the pups at risk and drive away Damon's potential mate, Gia. Who better to convince Damon to choose love, not war, than a gargoyle expert in "amour"? With a little magic, and a lot of Levet, this may yet be a truly wonderful Christmastime

23,500 Words

My Review:

Facing a lonely Christmas, Levet ends up assisting a Christmas Angel with her task of convincing Damon, a pureblood war to choose love instead of challenging the King of Weres in this magical Guardians of Eternity novella.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot adds Christmas cheer to the reader’s heart as Levet possibly ends up have a truly wonderful Christmas time. Alexandra Ivy brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and the strong compelling Guardians of Eternity characters continue to charm and captivate the readers into visiting their world.

Levet have a bit of a lull in his romance life, but after helping the Christmas Angel maybe he can wish for a little hot and spicy Christmas cheer for himself, but first our expert in “armour” must convince Damon that challenging the King of Weres is a completely crazy idea when he is throwing away the one thing everyone truly wants…their mate.

This story is delightfully charming and thrilling with Alexandra Ivy’s own version of A Christmas Carol that is really just a perfectly Levet story and of course I can’t wait to read the next Guardians of Eternity story.

About Alexandra Ivy

I’m not exactly sure when I fell in love with books.  Probably on my mother’s knee listening to her read Dr. Seuss to me.  I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library.
Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries?  Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, and J.R.R. Tolkien just to name a few.  I read poetry, essays, biographies, and plays.  In fact, I read anything I could get my hands on.

Years later (no, I’m not admitting how many) I’m still an avid reader, and my tastes are still as varied as they were in my youth, which I suppose helps to explain why I enjoy writing regency historicals under the name of Deborah Raleigh, as well as my contemporary paranormals as Alexandra Ivy.
For now that is enough to keep me busy, but who knows what the future might hold!

I do have a few other loves in my life besides reading and writing, the most important being my unbelievably patient husband, David, and my two sons, Chance and Alexander.  Without their constant support and belief in me, I never could have been able to follow my dreams.  They are truly my heroes.
