What I have to say:

Kendra has finally accepted that she needs a companion and the one she’s most interested in is a Dom but before they can work through their personal challenges a group of powerful supernaturals try to enslave Eric in this jaw-dropping paranormal romance.

First, before we go any further take the warnings in the blub to heart as some of the story may be disturbing to some readers. With that said, let’s get to my thoughts – Kendra and Eric are both very strong characters that have a vibrant intensity that jumps off the pages and they are both Doms but in very different ways which makes them very complex characters with a lot of depth and in Kendra’s case maybe a little harder to relate to but then again she is a vampire with a dark past. The attraction burns hot from the very beginning and the sex scenes are a little harder core BDSM than I am used to but scorching all the same while the relationship is full of complicated emotions and personal issues. The plot is fast paced and flows smoothly throughout enthralling readers with lots of suspense, excitement, turmoil and passion while the fascinating Chattanooga characters continue to bewitch readers into coming back for more.

Some political manipulations put Eric in a horrific situation with some very disturbing torture which builds lots of tension and grabs at the reader’s emotions while the brewing war with the South Carolina master vampire brings danger and excitement to the story as well. Vivid descriptions bring the story to life while the spine tingling suspense draws readers in and ensures that they can’t put the book down until they have read every last detail.

 Once again, Candace Blevins has wowed the heck out of me with her fascinating world and all of its complexities and the interactions of the characters between all three series just makes me want more, although it’s not necessary to read the other two series to enjoy this one but I can’t resist all those sexy characters.
