What the book has to say:
MICHEL
Michel doesn’t trust Dr. Chelsea Young. Why should he? She willingly worked as a researcher for the humans who were using Pantera as lab animals. Unfortunately, his suspicions haven’t kept his cat from becoming obsessed with the need to possess the beautiful female.
Chelsea is determined to atone for her youthful mistakes. Even if that means working with the aggravating Michel who refuses to believe she now wants to help the Pantera. Together they must overcome their mutual animosity to track down her former boss, Stanton Locke, before he can commit the ultimate betrayal.
STRIKER
Dark, damaged and definitely gorgeous, Striker is all about the mission. And when the mission’s over? The Hunter is out of there. That is, until one of Locke’s lab rats is forced on him—a beautiful, pained female who needs sex to survive.
The lovely Twelve was abducted and taken to the labs several years ago. Used for breeding, she was given drugs that make her irresistible to males. It was a hellish, lonely life. But she’s free now, and determined to discover the truth about her past. If only the road to that truth didn’t involve the heartless male she can’t stop herself from wanting.

What I have to say:
Michel thinks Dr. Chelsea Young is a spy but that doesn’t stop his cat from wanting her and Striker is all about the mission until the mission is a beautiful, pained female who needs sex to survive in these exciting paranormal romances.
Chelsea is determined to atone for her mistakes even if it means she has to help Michel, the one cat who can’t stand her and the reader can’t help but be drawn into the story as Michel is thrown for a loop when he learns that his cat is smarter than he is.
Used for breeding, Twelve’s free now and determined to discover her past but she needs the heartless Striker’s help and the reader can’t help but be captivated when Striker figures out that he needs to let go of the past.
Both stories have strong compelling characters that demand attention and capture the heart with their emotional turmoil and the heat that flows from the pages is scorching hot. Tension and excitement builds in Michel’s story as him and Chelsea set out to find the enemy and rescue more Pantera and expectation builds as the reader anticipates what Twelve will do to regain her memory ensuring that there is never a dull moment and the vivid descriptions draw the readers in and refuse to let go.
Once again, I had a very enjoyable visit with the Pantera that live so close to my home and I really can’t wait to visit them again because I really need to know just what Christopher is going to do next and just how much damage he will inflict on these fascinating shifters.

New Year. New Species. Welcome to the Wildlands.
*Taken from authors website*
Hidden in the depths of the Louisiana bayous, the Pantera, have become little more than a legend to most humans. It’s rumored that in the ancient past twin sisters, born of magic, had created a sacred land and claimed it as their own. From that land was born creatures who were neither human or animal, but a mixture of the two. Faster and stronger than humans, they have hyper acute senses, and when surrounded by the magic of the Wildlands they’re capable of shifting into pumas. It was also whispered that they possess other gifts. Telepathy, witchcraft, immortality, and the ability to produce a musk that could enthrall mere mortals. Mothers warned young girls never to roam alone near the swamps, convinced that they would be snatched by the Pantera, while young men were trained to avoid hunting anywhere near the protected Wildlands. Not that the warnings were always successful. What girl didn’t dream of being seduced by a gorgeous, mysterious stranger? And what young man didn’t want to try his skill against the most lethal predators?
As the years passed, however, the sightings of the Pantera became so rare that the rumors faded to myths. Most believed the entire species had become extinct. Sadly they weren’t entirely mistaken...
