My Review

This is a riveting paranormal romance with wonderfully fascinating characters that capture the imagination.

Tamar Ridgeway dreams of a winged warrior with lavender eyes, but her fantasy becomes a terrifying reality when she is attacked by a mythological creature from her darkest nightmares and her warrior is the one that saves her. Judge and executioner of the hippogryph, Nicolai Abioud is stunned when the woman he rescues is the same woman who submits to him in his dreams. Their love is forbidden but as danger closes in he will do whatever it takes to protect her.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seats with action, suspense and romance.  The plot has several conflicts going on consecutively that keeps the reader guessing.  The rogue that is taunting Nico being the conflict with lots of action including battles that are well written and believable, the suspense of Tamar’s crippling injury and what it means for her and of course the romance that has a couple of major obstacles to be overcome.  The author brings all them to life with vivid imagery, details and strong compelling characters that grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.

The chemistry between Nico and Tamar explodes from the pages and the frequent sex scenes both dreamed and real, are red hot and scorch the reader with their vibrant intensity.  The reader can’t help but be moved by Tamar and her strength of character that has allowed her to survive the horrors that she has and still be able to accept Nico and what had to surely be very strange to her. I love the war Tamar says she wants to “lick him like a lollipop” and then calls him “Buckbeak” just to keep him real.

The author has created a captivating world that with a refreshingly different supernatural race and I was totally engrossed and enchanted as soon as I started reading.  Naima Simone is going on my “must have” list.
