My Review:

The first book in the Sons of War series is an intriguing and exciting paranormal romance featuring dragons and the Greek Gods that sends chill down the spine.

Trying to get away from the nightmares that haunt her, Gwendolyn Preston moves to a small fishing village on the coast of Maine with her best friend. But much to her surprise the deliciously dark and handsome Markus Sullivan disrupts her attempt at a normal life.  Markus has discovered that the earth-bound descendants of the gods have banded together to start another rebellion against the gods and it becomes his number one priority to stop them. That is until he meets the next target of the descendants, Gwen- granddaughter of Aphrodite and together their path is rife with passion and danger.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seats with action, suspense and romance.  The author brings the mythological to life with well written scenes, vivid imagery and enchanting characters that capture the imagination and keep the reader thoroughly engaged to the very end.  Gwen is a traumatized young woman who captures the heart with her inner strength that finally shines through and Markus the reluctant leader of his brothers in this war against the descendant is so charming especially when he tries to hide his smiles and pretend he doesn’t have a heart.  Together they make a wonderful couple and along with the great cast of gods, goddesses, and demi- gods ensure that the reader wants to know more.

The attraction between Markus and Gwen sizzles with passion from every page, but the romance will take a little work, Gwen has to overcome her nightmares and Markus believes that they will be dire consequences to his mating with Gwen. 

The author has created a fantastic new world with her own version of the myths that brings for a refreshing change and a very interesting story line that I was totally captivated by from the very beginning.  I love dragons and these take my breath away, I can’t wait to read more of this mesmerizing story and the spellbinding characters.
