The second book in the Iron Portal series continues intriguing readers with its unique and entertaining world.

Olivia is a hidden healer talent and spends her life on the run to keep the army from finding her.  Asher is a mission to bring down the one responsible for his friend’s death.  An explosion not only brings Olivia and Asher together, it brings Olivia to the attention of a vengeful and evil stalker set on destroying them both.

The world created by the author is intriguing with action, suspense, romance and graphic sex.  The plot moves at a medium to fast pace that keeps the reader’s attention throughout and the vivid details grab the imagination.  All of the characters are compelling with strong personalities that the readers want to know more about.

Asher and Olivia are perfect for one another even though they both try to believe it is just temporary.  The author does a great job of conveying their emotions and motivations giving the story added depth and making these two characters come to life.  The sparks between two fly off the pages and the sex is hot and steamy.

The plot flows smoothly bringing the two very different worlds together in one story creating an enjoyable tale that was totally absorbing. There were a couple of events or actions that left questions unanswered, like what happened when Asher went home, did he find or get any information on his sister? Of course the main conflict between the two reams is ongoing so I am sure any questions will be answered in future stories.  This series has lots of potential and I am looking forward to the next book.
