My Review:

The third book in the Ariel Estates series is a thrilling and erotic shapeshifter read.

With both of his parents dead after individual attempts to assassinate their Alpha, Mikah Malloy must face life with alone among his fellow lion shifters, But Silas and his mate Theo decide it’s time from Mikah to get away and drag him to Alaska. But trouble seems to have a way of finding Mikah no matter where he runs.  Wolf shifter, Gideon Haven would give his soul to way off the ice, but with his family and pack being hunted, he can’t just walk away.  Putting his life on the line to hunt down the poacher is no hardship for Mikah since he doesn’t care if he lives or dies even with the heat between him and Gideon, but he’s determined the tenacious wolf isn’t getting close to break the ice around his heart.

This fast paced and thrilling romance keeps the reader’s on their toes with lots of suspense, action and super hot romance.  The author brings the story to life with vivid imagery and strong bewitching characters that are easily related to and that grabs the reader’s attention and doesn’t let go. The tension builds throughout as the suspense keeps the reader guessing as to whom the enemy is and if Mikah and Gideon’s relationship is going to work out.

The chemistry between Mikah and Gideon radiates from every page, but the romance has a few ups and downs with emotions and enemies getting in the way. The author conveys all the emotions and passions with intensity that ensures that the reader becomes ensnared by their story and the empathy inspired by their plights and the frequent sex scenes are scorching hot, leaving the reader sizzling with passion.

I thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic shifter read and the wonderful characters have certainly caught my attention. I had tears in my eyes at a couple of points in the story and was cheering the couple along in their rocky romance. I haven’t read the first two books in the series yet, but the author has certainly got me intrigued with these shifters.

Almost every author's bio states they've been writing since they learned how to read. It's what they've always wanted to do. Well, my journey wasn't so straight and narrow. I was a nurse for over twenty years and hold a bachelor's degree in science with a major in biology. So as you can see, my career path had originally gone in the opposite direction. I didn't discover my passion for the craft until after I'd had my son and decided to work part-time.

I've always loved to read but had never read a paranormal romance. Then one night at work on break, I began reading Karen Marie Moning's Spell of the Highlander. I couldn't believe what I'd been missing, and I immediately fell in love with the genre.
