Or that, when her last incarnation as a phoenix comes to a fiery end, the fire slowly begins to consume her body.

Sun god Osiris is ashamed of his role as ruler of the Underworld, but he unless he can figure out how to save Sadie, that’s exactly where she’s going to end up. Permanently. Terrified he’s going to lose her, he takes her on a hunt for The Book of the Dead, which is the only way he knows he can save her—even if it means she’ll hate him forever.

My Review:

Three Phoenix’s to Osiris, the Egyptian God of the Underworld’s bidding as the save the lives of worthy souls by sacrificing their own. Join them in three riveting romances as they each finally have a chance at redemption.

Each story is fast paced and smooth flowing with lots of suspense, drama and romance.  The author brings the stories to life with well written scenes which inspire vivid images that capture the imagination and make it easy for the reader to get caught up in this mythological world.  Well orchestrated dramatic and intriguing scenes draw the reader deeper into the stories and invite to join them for more and the strong compelling characters are easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.

Each story has the Phoenix’s finding a man that incites red hot passion, but the relationships are all fraught with drama and spellbinding tension that captures the reader’s hearts along with their curiosity.  Each woman has to find their own path for redemption and each is as different as the moon from the sun, but all three are tied together through friendship that will help see the through their trials and adds lots of depth to the stories, Osiris’ manipulations causes lots of friction and spice to the stories as well and while the reader can certainly empathize with the women, Osiris also captures the heart because he set out to do the right thing. 

The author has created a fantastic trilogy of Egyptian mythology with some refreshing different elements and some surprising twists that keeps the readers guessing. While each story is short, they each seem a lot longer and are full romances that are entertaining, enjoyable and entertaining and I was completely engrossed in all three from beginning to end.
