Ruby and Nick have amazing chemistry that draws readers into their hijinks with ease because they both have a unique way of looking at things and dealing with everything that life throws at them. Their romance isn't sweet, it's fun and kind of stuck on Ruby when she wasn't aware which was quite funny because Nick was one determined gargoyle and he decided that Ruby was his.

The plot is fast paced and full of excitement as Nick finds himself running from a dragon and that's just the beginning as Nick and Ruby just keep the thrills and the chuckles coming throughout and with some surprising twist to keep everyone guessing.

This is the first book in the Not This series that I have read and I have to say that Annie Nicholas did a great job of developing her characters and bring her charming and delightfully fun world to vivid life and I since was completely charmed by Not Her Gargoyle, I will be catching up on the series while await the next book.
