My Review:
The seventh book in the Vampires in America series is an intriguing vampire romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
One of the most powerful vampires in North America, Aden is waging war on others of his kind in a struggle to become the next Lord of the Midwest, but in the midst of the deadliest fight of his life, Aden is hellbent on destroying slavery and those who profit from it. When the biggest story of her life cost the life of a friend, investigative reporter Sidonie Reid realizes she has to do much more that write about it. When she gains entry to the highest level of vampire society, Sidonie finds herself confronting the raw sexuality that is Aden. And when they join forces they are caught up in a dark passion that neither can resist.
This fast paced plot keeps the reader on their toes with lots of suspense, action and romance. The author brings the story to life with well written words that paint vivid images and make the reader feel as if they are part of the story. The strong and bewitching characters are easily related to with clear motivations that grab the reader’s attention and keep it to the very end.
The chemistry between Aden and Sidonie explodes off the pages and the frequent sex scenes leave the reader smoldering with passion. The emotions and personalities of the characters leap off the pages and the tension both romantic and suspense, build throughout the story ensuring that the reader is totally caught up in the story.
The author has created a fantastic world with vampires with some unique elements that I have not seen giving this thrilling story a fresh feel. I Have not read the other books in this series,(I will be remedying that)but I had no trouble following the story. There are hints and clues leading up to a main conflict, but this just adds more intrigue to the story.
