My Review:

This book is a romantic suspense that keeps the readers guessing with lots of intrigue, action and romance. Drake Archer is an ex-Special Forces agent turned billionaire casino owner who is consumed by desire by a mysterious red head Jasmine Bennett.  A woman on a mission, Jasmine isn’t who she pretends to be, she’s supposed to be stealing secrets the mysterious Drake – not falling in love with her target. 

This fast paced plot keeps the readers on the edge of their seats with lots of twists and turns that the reader doesn’t see coming. The author brings the story to life with vivid imagery, details and strong compelling characters that captures the imagination.  All the characters are easily related to but with hidden depths that keeps the readers curious and reading to the very end.

The attraction between Drake and Jazz explodes off the pages with so much heat that the reader can practically feel the burn and the sex scenes are hot and steamy.  While they certainly have no problem in the chemistry department, the relationship between these two keeps the reader in suspense because they both have secrets and issues that must be dealt with one of which is communication for different reasons.  The readers can’t help but empathize with both characters emotional turmoil and the author causes tears, laughter, bemusement and anger at different scenes in this book.  Some of these emotions are aimed at the relationship and Jazz and Drake, some at the other good guys in the book and of course anger and general murderous thoughts aimed at the bad guy. 

The author gets the adrenalin pumping with the well orchestrated action scenes and keeps the reader in suspense with just who’s who in this intriguing story. I couldn’t put the book down, once I started reading it and I’m not sure how I’ve managed to miss the first ones in this series, because I have never been disappointed with one of Cynthia Eden’s book, but I will definitely have to read about the captivating characters now.
