My Review:

Determined to have a life outside of her rural hometown, Gina Moretti is in no way ready to find a mate and settle down like the perfect Alpha’s daughter she is supposed to be.  So she sets off for Boston to visit her scientist cousin, Dominic and quite literally stumbles into his boss.  Self made millionaire, Lucas Mason and Dominic are on the brink of bring a method of masking a wolf’s scent to trials when his cousin breezes in. Luke knows instantly that she is his mate, but she doesn’t even realize he is a wolf.  As Luke and Dominic get closer to the medical trials an unknown enemy is determined to stop them at any cost. Can Luke discover his foe in time to protect his research…and his mate? And what will happen with Gina learns he’s not the human she believes he is?

This fast paced plot keeps the tension building with suspense, action and romance. The author paints the story with vibrant images that make the reader feel as if they are part of the story and the suspense keeps readers guessing with twists and turns.  The characters are compelling, easily related and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.

The attraction between Gina and Luke radiates from the pages with lots of sizzling passion and the sex scenes are hot and steamy. The relationship is hampered by a few issues that have to be hammered out, like the fact that the young Gina would like to have some kind of life before settling down, who can’t understand that. Luke is a strong wolf that despite keeping secrets proves that just how much he loves her, if only she figures that out before it’s too late, which captures the reader’s heart.

I was caught up in the story from the very beginning and really enjoyed the way the story played out and the characters were charming and entertaining, but while the story had a great ending there wasn’t really enough closure on the issue of the bad guys, were there more out there, what was the real purpose to their creation. I can see lots of possibilities but no definite answers although maybe the author is planning a sequel in which case that would be great especially if featured the sexy scientist cousin, Dominic.
