Book Review - I Will Never Forget by Elaine C Pereira

I Will Never Forget By Elaine C Pereira – Review and Giveaway!

Each moment you have lived is a gift. This is an awful disease that steals those gifts. On a daily basis it stole gifts from my beautiful mother-in-law. Moments of her life drifted away until she did not remember my husband at all. We would go see her and she would look him right in the eye and tell him to get David. His answer everytime was “Mama, I am David”. I loved this book. I understand the feelings of loss, frustration, sometimes giddy moments. I understand when you must become the keeper of the dreams and memories. Anyone dealing with a loved one suffering from Dementia can find a glimmer of sanity in this book. I want you to read this book. You will get tickled, probably shake your head, and you will shed a tear or two. My MIL is gone from this earth… parts of her memory left long before, but like Elaine, you become the keeper of the memories. This is a heartfelt memoir of love the author has shared with us and I wish to say “Thanks”!
