#Book Revew of Dog-ma the zen of slobber by Author Barbara Boswell Brunner shared with us today by The More the Merrier
"Barbara Boswell Brunner reminds me of James Alfred Wight (some of you may know him as James Herriot) in her writing. She writes straight from experience, but has a way of telling the story so you feel like you are right there. You melt yourself into the story, and feel the feelings as if you were right there. Through the stories in this book, you grow to love these dogs, and these people. You learn their lifestyle, and the lessons that each dog brings in it’s addition to the family.
This is a book to savor. I laughed, and cried, and knew exactly what they meant about so many of the things that happened – having owned several dogs in my lifetime, myself.
If you’ve ever ‘rescued’ a dog, whether to keep as a ‘forever pet’ or just to foster, you will understand and sympathize with every story, every laugh, and every tear. Somehow these amazing creatures make us want to be better, if for no other reason than just to be a better friend to them."
