If you are not familiar with Kristine Mason, let me introduce you. She is one of my favorite romance and thriller writers and this is her latest, Stab at Love, a contribution to a series of romantic short stories..
MY REVIEW
OMG! I adored this twisted story of murder and love. The aura of menace oozed off the pages leaving me wondering about the ending, which got me good.
From the first paragraph, Kristine Mason had me chuckling as I read along. She has a way of taking a serial killer and twisting him into an even more despicable person.
Ivy, I love her and relate to her. She has a potty mouth and hangs with men. Women are too much work. That is another thing about Kristine and her work. It seems to hit all the right buttons for me, making it easy to become enamored by the characters, good and bad.
I love her response to the women who thought she was crazy for bidding on a weekend at a haunted house with the bachelor, Ash. She liked being scared and walking on the wild side, so she ignored her intuition telling her to beware.
Hmmm, I am picking up a strange vibe and I can hardly wait to see if Kristine has as twisted an imagination as I hope…but I know from reading her past books, she does. LOL
Ash has instincts of his own, and also chooses to ignore them. Who should be afraid of who?
I had a huge grin plastered over my face through most of this novella, or short story, whatever you wish to call it. I had a feeling I knew where the story was going and could hardly wait to get there and see if I was right.
Hot, steamy sexual situations, always with a hint of danger.
Kristine Mason is one of the most amazing thriller writers I have had the pleasure to read. Every time I hear of a new book from her, I HAVE to have it and Stab at Love is no exception.
I voluntarily read a free copy of Stab at Love by Kristine Mason.
5 Stars
