The newest Rogue Rescue romance shocks readers with gripping emotions and thrilling suspense. Ian and Trick are two strong, captivating males that easily draw readers into their story. The relationship starts off with a hurdle to be overcome but then both move on the sizzling heat that burns between them while trying to adjust to the changes in their lives and on the team. The romance is sweet but with lots of emotional turmoil that adds depth and makes it easy for the readers to understand where these characters are coming from. Ian’s past plays a major part of the emotional turmoil and Trick is fundamental in adding a positive influence in Ian’s emotional issues, which surprises readers as well as the characters. There is a bit of a lopsided view of this couple as readers are given more detail about Ian and less about Trick, which readers may feel would make the romance a bit better, but doesn’t stop them from enjoying it.

The story is fast paced and flows smoothly from the pages with their searing romance but with added excitement of death defying rescue missions and an unexpected twists that answers some questions regarding Ian but adds more in relation to the team. The unique shifters and their roles in this fascinating world makes for a really great change in shifter romances and the author brings it all to vivid life with great detailing that makes it easy for the readers to imagine each and every scene. This romance can be read as a standalone story, but readers may find that reading the previous books gives them a better understanding of this fascinating world as the conclusion definitely lets readers know that there is more going on.
