For as long as I can remember, all I’ve ever wanted to be is an author of women’s fiction. After majoring in journalism in college, a twist of fate landed me in Corporate America where I remained for many years, doing freelance writing on the side. Sixteen years as a single parent made a steady income a necessity. But I never gave up my dream of being an author or my steps toward it.
One of my proudest achievements was qualifying for membership in the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA). Eventually the recession left me jobless, finally giving me the time to write my first published book, A Medical Affair (Booktrope, 2013) followed by The Passion Thief (Booktrope, 2014). Both have been well-received, and I’m hard at work on my third novel with the working title Hold My Hand.
Besides writing, I enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, crafting, swimming, my family and my dogs. But no matter what I’m doing, I’d probably rather be writing.
