Although we change and develop as we grow older, there is something about going back home that connects us back to who we were. What does Tyler discover about herself when she journeys back home, and how does it change who she is in the present?

I think she realizes that her home, family and past made her who she is.

I think so, too! And I think she realizes how much she misses it.

She got a reset. The "loss" of Dwayne Davis set her life on a trajectory of losses. When she finally went home and faced the truth about him, and who she really is at her core, her entire being was reset. That placed Tyler and the rest of the novel on a trajectory toward victory. Dwayne, Cabe and Lillian already knew Tyler was a winner. Tyler forgot.

Yes!! Tyler was in many ways "stuck" and the trip back home released her and now she can move forward.
