Tell us about your latest book.

Ridiculously Happy! The Secret to manifesting the Life & Body of Your Dreams is a step-by-step book to transform your life and body from the inside out. It was written on behalf of women to empower them to truly create the lives of their dreams!

Where did the idea for the book come from?

I was coaching and during the call I was teaching how to truly be happy during which time I felt a strong impression to write my book, the title came to me then as well. It was a powerful feeling so I took it to heart and began writing my book.

Who and what inspire you to write?

I used to be chronically ill which took the sparkle out of my life. Through my own life transformation journey I was inspired to share what I learned after over two decades of studying to achieve great success. I’m passionate about inspiring, motivating and helping others in any way I can. It’s my mission to help women all around the world improve their quality of life to learn to love and believe in themselves to be happier, healthier and prosperous way of life.

Each author has his or her own inspiring journey. How did you begin writing?

I got rheumatic fever in my youth; I had to be on penicillin for six years which virtually destroyed my immune system, resulting in Epstein Barr and then later chronic fatigue syndrome. Through my own journey of self-improvement and healing I went from being chronically ill and a somewhat overweight to being a fitness model and then went on to become a Transformation Expert and Lifestyle Fitness Coach at which time I felt inspired to write a blog and then my book.

What has been the most pleasant surprise about writing? How about an unexpected down side?

All that I learned along the way. As I implemented what I have been studying for years it was inspired at a deeper level as to what and how to explain the teachings and principles in my book. At times I felt like one of my clients learning along the way. The unexpected down side is how tedious the process is. Upon finishing my first rough draft I got a concussion which set me back nearly a year. After I was back on my feet I rewrote my manuscript which was basically starting over again. It was a long process to go back and forth with my editors and then to do a final read through, but it was all worth it in the end.

Do you have any writing rituals?

Yes, I write when I feel inspired. Some days I would sit in my office and try to write and I just couldn’t seem to get it to flow. Then other days I was overflowing with what I needed to write about. I came to follow my intuition of when I needed to write and I did so accordingly.

Do you write your books in order?

Yes, I liked to see my book evolve as I wrote it. I created the table of contents after writing the first couple of chapters to see a format and to see the “end result” of my book. It helped me stay laser focused on achieving my writing goals.

What is on your writing playlist for this book?

I listen to soft instrumental music, my playlist is David Tolk, Paul Cardall, Ryan Stewart, Jim Brickman, Loreena McKennitt, Helen Jane Long, and Lisa Kelly to name a few.

Any favorite writing snacks?

Slivered almonds, gum and my favorite drink, Liv Sxinney

What advice would you give writers who aspire to be published?

To learn all there is about being published and the process of creating a rough draft, hiring a professional editor or two, and what it takes to follow through. It’s a lot of work but it’s highly rewarding to see the results of your time and energy after your book is published.

Are you working on anything new right now?

Yes, I’m working on my next book, Ridiculously book. My book Ridiculously Happy! is the first book of many to come.

What is your favorite book of all time?

Stand a Little Taller by Gordon B. Hinkley

Tell us in one sentence why we should read your book.

It will inspire and motivate you to believe and love yourself fully to be able to live the life of your dreams happily, healthy and abundantly. It holds the simple yet powerful keys to transform your life and body from the inside out.
