My Review:

The fourth book in the Nymphs series is a sensual and thrilling romance that keeps readers on their toes.  Nymph Starling Jackson has the gift of seduction and near immortality but forever is not all it’s cracked up to be when her life is filled with harassing spirits.  In  order to gain control over her so-called gift, she needs secrets books, but her enemies have already gotten their hands on the books and has plans for her as well.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense, action, drama and romance.  The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and has the reader actually feeling the cold as Starling interacts with the spirits. Spine tingling anticipation builds as the danger to Starling and Jasper escalates and they learn just what her enemies have in store for her.  The strong compelling characters are easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning, especially the dramatic beginning.

The attraction between Jasper and Starling radiates from every page but the relationship is what has sparks flying in every direction.  Some snarky dialogue and lots of arguments ensue as Jasper tries to do his job and protect Starling, especially when he’s trying to protect her from herself, but Starling is determined that finding the books is her only course of action even when that path keeps leading them directly in danger’s grasp.  The reader can’t help but get caught up in all the drama and suspense of the story as they learn more about the characters and what is happening in their world.

The author has created a enchanting world of demigods with some refreshingly different elements to add spice and depth to the stories.  I was thoroughly engrossed in the story until the very end and I had no trouble following the story even though I have not read the others in the series…yet.  However, the story does refer to events that happened previously and I think I would definitely have had a better understanding of the overall conflict it I had them. Oh well, I’ll just have to read the others and then read this one again (like that would problem, lol).
