My Review:

Sent to track down a very old and elusive vampire, Lana Arnold sees nothing but an opportunity. Vincent Kuxim is ready to claim the Mexico territory for himself. Together they find themselves battling an evil they didn’t know existed in this thrilling paranormal romance.

With a steady to fast paced plot, this romance keeps readers shivering in anticipation with lots of suspense, excitement and passion. Raphael has sent Lana to find the old one but he insists that she takes Vincent with her and the reader can’t help but get caught up in all the sparks that fly when these two go on a road trip from hell. Not only does their attraction burn up the pages, but Vincent is used to being able  to charm every woman into whatever he wants (I have to admit he certainly charmed me) but Lana’s not just any woman and she’s not buying into it. These two characters are not only strong and compelling they are also combustible and give the readers quite a few chuckles with their snarky dialogue and Lana’s determination to fight Vincent every step of the way.

Spine tingling excitement builds throughout the story as danger escalates and on their journey they discover that there is lots of evil to be found…evil that leads straight to Vincent’s sire and a battle for control of the territory. Good thing Lana’s not a shrinking violet with all the dangerous situations they suddenly find themselves in. The well written scenes and details paint vivid images that capture the imagination and bring the story to life and have the reader feeling as if they are a part of this very adventurous journey.

Once again, D B Reynolds has kept me on my toes with lots of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and entertained me with lots of sexy hot vampires and I can’t wait to read the next one as it promises to get even more exciting.
