Review: Revealing the Dragons (Stonefire Dragons #9) by Jessie Donovan

What the book has to say:

This novella is not a standalone. Please read the boxed sets of Sacrificed to the Dragon and Seducing the Dragon first.

Melanie Hall-MacLeod finally releases her book about the dragon-shifters. The reception of her book, however, is anything but peaceful.

Tristan wants nothing more than to whisk his mate and two children off to safety, but Mel refuses to hide. As the danger increases and threatens his new family, Tristan battles the need to protect his mate with the need to make her happy.

Can Melanie and Tristan survive the strain between the new danger in their lives and their new twins? Or, will Tristan lose the battle with his inner dragon, surrender to his protective instincts, and take care of the threats at the cost of his mate?

What I have to say:

Melanie’s book about dragon shifters has caused quite a stir and it’s anything but peaceful which puts her and the twins in danger and Tristan’s dragon on edge in this spellbinding paranormal romance.

Melanie’s determination to help the dragon shifters stirs up a multitude of problems, bringing about new threats and causing problems with her mate, but it also has the potential to bring about change and the reader can help but get caught up in the pulse pounding excitement as Tristan and Melanie try struggle through the strain that the situation puts on their relationship. Tristan and Melanie are strong compelling characters that won everyone’s heart in the very first Stonefire book, so be prepared for some emotional upset as the fast paced and smooth flowing plot captivates readers with lots of suspense, excitement and of course since Tristan and Melanie’s desire for each other still runs hot, lots of red hot passion.

Spine tingling excitement builds throughout the story not only from the danger that the book stirs but from awaiting the possible results right along with all the Stonefire Clan. The well written scenes and details bring the story to life and invite the reader to join them in their anticipation and excitement and the well orchestrated events ensure that you do just that until the very end.

Once again, the Stonefire Clan caught my attention and refused to let go and I can’t wait to see what happens between Finn and Ara.

Introducing Jessie Donovan:

Jessie Donovan wrote her first story at age five, and after discovering the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey in junior high, realized that people actually wanted to read stories like those floating around inside her head. From there on out, she was determined to tap into her over-active imagination and write a book someday.

After living abroad for five years and earning degrees in Japanese, Anthropology, and Secondary Education, she buckled down and finally wrote her first full-length book. While that story will never see the light of day, it laid the world-building groundwork of what would become her debut paranormal romance, Blaze of Secrets.

Jessie loves to interact with readers. When not reading or traipsing around some foreign country on a shoestring, she can often be found on Facebook and Twitter.
