What the books has to say:
Snow White’s a goth and Prince Charming’s a jerk.
On Neve’s eighteenth birthday, her stepmother kicks her out. A group of diner rats offer her refuge—including Brendan, who offers his couch for her to crash on. But the more time she spends with him, the more he confuses her. One second, he’s kissing her. The next he’s pushing her away.
Believing her life has reached rock bottom, Neve struggles to ditch her “damaged girl” label. But when she uncovers the truth about her life, she’s rocked to her very foundation. Will Neve be able to hold on to the good things coming her way, or will her bad luck poison everything?
What I have to say:
Neve’s life goes from bad to worse when her stepmother kicks her out, luckily for her she befriends a group of diner rats including Brenden and then she uncovers some truths about her life that rocks to her very core in this emotionally gripping new adult romance.
The reader gets emotionally caught up in the turmoil that Neve is facing from the very beginning as Neve faces her Stepmother’s plans and she left with nowhere to go. The strong compelling characters grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning and the fast pace ensures that the reader doesn’t put the book down. The one bright spot in Neve’s life is the help she receives from Brenden and the growing friendship with his friends but Brenden has some issues from his past and doesn’t want to face the chemistry between them. The suspense continues to build throughout the story as both struggle to overcome emotional adversity and reach for a happily ever after.
This is story is a quick romance that grips the heart and I was caught up in it from the very beginning although I do feel that it is too short to really do it justice.

Introducing Katherine McIntyre:
I split my time writing and working my day job as a massage therapist. If it’s a creative pursuit though, chances are I’ve dabbled in it. Hell, I’ve played around with soapmaking, beer brewing, cupcake baking, tea blending and everything else under the midday sun. At the end of the day, my constant is always reading, writing and editing. I’m an Aries-Taurus cusp–which to any astrology buffs should tell you plenty.
I hit the East Coast convention circuit pretty hard and chances are, you can find me vending for Solstice Brews while simultaneously promoting my books. As for more journalistic writing, I’m the founder, an editor, and a writer onCaffeine Crew.
