My Review:

On a routine case, private investigator Elena Ronen is suddenly thrust into a magical world full of enemies and she will have to trust Vittorio, the man who awakened her powers with a kiss in this fascinating paranormal fantasy romance.

This steady to fast paced plot keeps readers shivering in anticipation with suspense, magic and passion. The author describes the story with well written words and details that capture the imagination and the fascinating magical world draws the readers deeper into the story. The characters are strong, compelling characters grab the reader’s attention and the well orchestrated suspense ensures that the reader can’t put the book down until they read every word.

The attraction Vittorio and Elena burns hot enough to scorch the coven, but the relationship puts them both in danger as Elena’s unknown powers erupt. The reader can’t help but get caught up in their story as Elena first has to come to terms with the fact that magic exists and then betrayal as enemies want to use her powers by threatening everyone around her. There is a lot of emotional turmoil in the story that adds depth to the story which along with the believable action scenes makes the reader feel as if they are part of the story.

Spine tingling tension builds as the danger escalates and their enemies true intentions become known but that’s not where all the excitement comes from, their personal life, figuring out who they can trust and trying to figure out what direction they should take in their future also plays a huge part in the story along with the original investigation ensures there is never a dull moment. I found the story to be enjoyable and the world intriguing with captivating characters and I can’t wait to read the next story in Elena’s life.

I’m Jennifer. I live by the online rule of, “If I don’t want my family/friends/boss/etc to know this about me, don’t put it online.” I’m a pretty open person, and there’s really nothing about myself that I feel the need to hide, so that’s not a big problem. But if you’re looking for the intimate, gory details of my life, well, this isn’t the place for you.

My most ardent love is writing. What do I write? My current focus is urban fantasy novels. I originally thought I’d be a young adult author, but then National Novel Writing Month 2008 came around, and a fabulous story poured out, one with characters who demanded it be a series, and it’s much better than the first novel I ever wrote (the young adult one.) I also write the occasional poem, short story, and essays on life.  In fact, some of those are even published here.
