Review: Cowboy on the Run by Devon McKay

My Review:

Nate Walker returns home to find that Jessie Calhoun is not the gullible girl he left behind and she has two very important secrets, so he has his work cut out for him if he hopes he can earn her trust and love again in this mesmerizing contemporary western romance. Spine tingling tension builds as small things around the ranch escalates to some dangerous incidents and no one has a clue to who is behind it.  The dangerous elements spice the story up and ensure that there is never a dull moment, but I am not sure that I was all that crazy about the conclusion of the story…big climatic battle (I think maybe it should have a more complete ending like what happened with the bad guy and a bit more time with the couple working out the couple’s future) and then a glossed over happily ever after, but I will be keeping a eye out for more books by this author.
