New Release Review: Alien Separation (Katherine "Kitty" Katt #11) by Gini Koch

What the book has to say:

Life's never easy . . .

The Mastermind has finally been identified, but before Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini can take him down, they, their daughter Jamie, Charles Reynolds, Paul Gower, Christopher White, and several others are zapped out of their solar system and into another.

Landing in scattered groups on various areas of Beta Eight in the Alpha Centauri system means getting the team back together will be a major issue. But it's only one of the challenges they'll face. Kitty and Company have to forge alliances with the wide variety of sentient natives on the planet while plotting to create a civil war and overthrow the king - who just may be a clone of one of their bitterest enemies, Ronaldo Al Dejahl.

Of course, to do this, they have to overcome an assortment of dangerous obstacles, protect a group of refugees, take mind reading lessons, and seek out unexpected new allies as they journey to the Centerpoint of the world.

And once they reach the All Seeing Mountain, new issues and surprises await. Because there's more than a small war going on - they're in the midst of the Alpha Centauri Civil War!

What I have to say:

The mastermind has been identified but before anything can be done about it, Kitty, Jeff, Jamie and several others are zapped from their universe to another and right smack into trouble in this exciting sci-fi fantasy.

As usual nothing is ever easy for Kitty, her family or her friends and being zapped onto another planet in another universe is just routine and the reader can't help but get drawn into all the excitement as Kitty and company try to not only figure out what, when, why, where and how but find each other as well. As usual Kitty is her snarky, cool and charming self and the others are their usual captivating selves but this adventure introduces some new intriguing and colorful characters that grab the reader's attention right along with the originals.

The fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense and action and gives readers quite a few chuckles with Kitty's usual snark and situational humor. Non-stop action and excitement ensure that there is never a dull moment and the enemies very complex scheme keeps the characters as well as the readers guessing with lots of unexpected surprises and a very unique and colorful world for Kitty and company to navigate not only physically but politcally as well. The well written scenes and details bring this story to very vivid life and the well orchestrated events draw the readers in and ensures that they can't put the book down.

I don't know about you but I love Kittyisms and her brand of kick ass now and take names later attitude, every story is always thrilling and fun and the only difference with this one is that the world is sort of like visiting Wonderland, Oz and Candyland all rolled into one and you never know what Kitty's going to name next ... the Kattyhoppers were quite interesting. Anyway I can't wait to read Kitty's next adventure and find out what happens next.
