The third book in The Chosen series is a thrilling and erotic romance that keeps readers on the edge of their seat. Evil is stalking the children and Devon has been assigned to protect Shan Harrison. Shan has no idea that she has the potential to become one of the strongest dreamers in history, and when evil starts stalking her she’ll learn to accept her desires for Devon and that she is one of the Chosen or the darkness will triumph and everyone she loves will be destroyed by nightmares come to life.
This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers shivering in anticipation and the adrenaline pumping with lots of suspense, drama, action and passion. The author brings her unique world of gods and chosen to life with well written scenes and images that capture the imagination and tension builds throughout the story as the danger escalates and Shan and Devon try to figure out their relationship while the darkness causes chaos. The strong compelling characters are easily related to and draw the reader deeper into the story.
The attraction between Shan and Devon burns up the pages and the frequent sex scenes are extremely hot and steamy with some D/s scenes. But the relationship is what has sparks flying in every direction, because while Shan might crave a submissive sex life, she is in no way submissive any other time, she also captures the reader’s heart with her vulnerability concerning her sexuality and what she craves. The relationship has the reader laughing at a few places with some snaky dialogue as two has serious clash of wills at times.
The author has created a wonderful and intriguing world with fascinating characters and elements that enchant the reader and keep them wondering what comes next. I was completely engrossed in the story from the very beginning with surprising twists and the abundance of characters that keep me delightfully entertained.

About Ann Mayburn:
(Off author’s site)
Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead-though she will deny to her children that it ever happened.
From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.
Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.
