Eve Bradley was undercover looking for a story, not a cause. But something about the man they called Subject Thirteen got her involved. The scientists said he was a devil, and they had a decent case: Terrifying power. A bad attitude. And looks that could lead anyone to sin. . .
Cain O'Connor knows the minute he catches her candy scent that Eve could drive him wild. But she's a threat--in a way no one has been for him in years. She's safer away from him, too. But with a powerful conspiracy determined to shut Eve up for good, there's no time to argue. All they can do is trust their instincts--and their hearts. . .
The first book in the Phoenix Fire series is an exciting paranormal read that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. The author has created a fascinating and exciting paranormal world with some unique elements that add depth and freshness that it made it a highly enjoyable read. Once I started reading this book, I found that I couldn’t put it down until I had read the very last page it had adrenalin pumping action, lots of passion and great characters that capture the imagination and draw the reader into their world. I really love the paranormal characters that Cynthia Eden has created and the interesting story line that brings them all together.
