Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in The Arrangement Series?

For The Arrangement Duet: Kenzie has had it rough. It’s one of those stories where you ask yourself can’t she ever catch a break. She was neglected by her addict mother, then turned over to her abusive grandmother until she ultimately escaped into the arms of an abusive fiancé. Once she finally got away, the only thing she wanted was to protect herself—which to her meant closing herself off from all men. She trusted no one.

On the surface it would seem that Nicholas has had it easy, especially when you compare his life to Kenzie’s. However, what you don’t know is what happened before he was adopted. While Kenzie’s story didn’t end for a long time, I don’t think Nicholas’s was any less heartbreaking. Then he made the ultimate mistake of trusting the wrong person who tried to burn him. Like Kenzie, he has severe trust issues as a result.

Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?

They all exist only in my head LOL

Do your characters seem to hijack the story or do you feel like you have the reigns of the story? Sometimes they hijack it and I need to pull the reigns in some.

Convince us why you feel your book is a must read.
Because you need to believe that fairytales do happen. We all need to believe that good can come from darkness. Kenzie and Nicholas overcome harsh odds to find love again. Their story is not a quick and easy one, but instead is one that you’ll be able to see yourself going through.

Have you written any other books that are not published?

Yes, I have several that have been written but not yet published.

What did you edit out of this book?

I originally had a story about Kenzie’s father, one in which he was alive and she found him. As the book grew longer and longer, I realized I needed to cut out parts and that became one that was sacrificed.

How did you come up with the concept and characters for the book?

For The Arrangement Duet, I honestly can’t remember how the story idea came to me. I think the beginning of the story formed when some girlfriends and I were talking about someone who married someone they barely knew. That somehow led to the question about arranged marriages. From there, the idea sort of stuck with me and the more I thought about it the more I wanted to write a story about an arranged marriage. But I wanted it to be something that grew over time, not one where two people met, got married and quickly fell in love. Because let’s face it, that’s not reality.
