Book Review of After the Fog by Kathleen Shoop

Book Review of After the Fog by Kathleen Shoop

http://www.espacularaiesa.com/2014/10/02/fog-kathleen-shoop-review-...

"A remarkable fictional story based on a factual event. A poisonous smog descends upon the town Rose Pavlesic has created a life in. She is a bit preoccupied with her nursing duties at times. The challenges abound as she tries to proportion her nursing and family. Grim and shocking events unfold for many as the smog takes control of the inhabitants. Several people have secrets and lies that reveal themselves, including Rose! Shoop’s research into the real life cataclysmic 1948 Donora Smog is clearly fortunate for anyone reading this story. The author created an interesting character in the somewhat controlling Rose. Yet we are able to follow as Rose slowly learns that her controlling ways have left her failing to be a real part of her family. The struggles in this saga are captivating and I could not put it down til the read was complete."
