1. Tell our readers a little bit about yourself and your work
I currently live in New Jersey with my husband and one very spoiled Golden Retriever. I have two children, both in college. When I’m not writing, I’m working out, or cooking. In fact, I post my recipes on FB. I love to read and go out to dinner with family and friends. MIDNIGHT DESIRE is book one in a three book series chock full of witches, vampires, and demons. Each book is a standalone novel and can be read separately or in order.

2. What genres do you write or want to write in the future?

I write Urban Fantasy and Paranormal romance sprinkled with suspense and heavy on the romance.

3. What attracted you to City Owl Press and what has your experience been like working with City Owl Press?

I’m a member of Liberty States Fiction Writers and had read about COP attending one of the conferences. So I submitted my manuscript and then made sure to go to the conference. I introduced myself to the lovely Yelena Casale. We hit it off immediately, and the rest is history as they say.
My experience has been fantastic! Everyone is extremely friendly, professional and so encouraging. I'm so grateful to be a part of this incredible team.

4. Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?

I would love to get my masters in creative writing, get an agent, and write at least three more series and several novellas. I’d love to try some different genres too. Of course, we all dream about hitting the lists, the New York Times, and USA Today would be awesome. I’d love a RITA nomination and hope to do an international book tour.  I hope to have at least one of my books optioned for a screenplay and one picked up on Passionflix, which I absolutely love! I want to connect more with readers and hope that my words impact them in some way.

5. Tell our readers why they should pick up your book.

My book is a fast paced, action packed, fantasy that will let you escape to another magickal world and yet the characters are all quite flawed, and down to earth. They wrestle with everyday problems and relationships that everyone can relate to on some level. The book will help you remember what is it’s like to fall in love and give you a great endorphin release.

6. Who/what were and are our inspirations?

I’m inspired by so many authors, but if I had to choose, I’d say, in no particular order, JK Rowling, Kresley Cole, Emma Chase, J. Kenner (I’ve met and we emailed a few times), Sylvia Day(met her too), and of course JR Ward (I did her workshop).

7.  What advice would you give to aspiring authors?

No matter what, don’t give up. Keep sending out those manuscripts. Don’t get stuck holding onto that same MS for ten years. Start fresh work. Enter contests and really take note of what the judges are saying to you. Join a critique group and look at other people’s work. This helps you get better. Read books on how to write. Go to conferences. Take workshops and read, read, read. Don’t take anything personally, easier said than done I know, but remember, it’s all part of the journey.
