Ares has been cursed by a powerful witch and mortal Kaye Underhill has been caught in the middle. To break the curse Ares must get Kaye to fall in love with him but making love instead of war presents a whole new set of problems in this delightful paranormal romance.
Kaye is the only mortal at the wedding among scantily dressed nymphs and fickle satyrs and even worse – dateless and then she finds herself seated next to the God of War, Ares and the reader can’t help but get drawn into the fireworks that follow as Ares actions have caught the attention of a powerful witch set on revenge and Kaye is the mortal who will pay the price. The strong compelling characters leap from the pages with vibrant intensity and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps anticipation building throughout with suspense and romance. Kaye’s and Are’s worlds may have been turned around by the curse but the attraction between grows steadily stronger the longer they are together.
Expectation of just what will happen between Kaye and Ares keeps readers on the edge as they wait to discover the result of the curse and just where the relationship is headed. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination while the well orchestrated events ensure that they continue to turn the pages to the very end and the reader’s hearts are captured by the emotional impact of the curse which clutches Ares and Kaye in its grasp.
I was completely fascinated from the very beginning with these bewitching characters and the intriguing plot full of interesting elements and surprising twists. The story is connected to Pan’s Conquest (it is Pan & Syrinx’s wedding) but you do not have to read it to enjoy this one and I am hoping there will more books in this world – hint: I would love to read Apollo’s story.
