Tell us about your book(s) Swept into the Darkness Chronicles of the Celestial book one introduces readers to a beautiful young woman named Sydney London. Sydney has had to deal with a lot of struggles throughout her life, including being so different than the average human. She has special gifts but it is not until the death of her best friend that she learns that her gifts are connected to the God and Goddesses of Greek and Egyptian Mythology.

Where did the idea of your (latest) book come from? Since I was a child I have always been fascinated with Angels, Vampires, Extraterrestrials and other elements of the supernatural. Those elements have been a passion and love that has grown to become something that I wanted to experience through a strong storyline and unforgettable characters. The idea comes from my childhood imagination.

Who and what inspires you to write your books? There are a variety of things that inspire me to write. It could be a name, a simple phrase, image or sinario. I use the environment around me as my muse. And I never limit myself or my ideas.

Each author has their own fascinating journey. How did you begin writing? I have been writing since I was a little girl but it was not until adulthood and when I had gotten into another career that I started to feel that something was missing in my life. I needed to express my self creatively and I was not doing what I was meant to do. A couple years ago I picked up my pen again and started writing and the words and ideas flew on the pages. I continued until I finished my book, filling that void of emptiness within me. Publishing the book was the beginning of a whole new adventure for me.

What has been the most pleasant surprise about being a writer? How about the most unexpected downside? The most pleasant surprise about being a writer is the overwhelming support and feedback that I have gotten from readers. It has been a joy to experience such positive reactions towards my work. The most unexpected downside of it all is trying to maintain balance with all the other aspects of my life. I thought it would be a little more easier.

Do you have any particular writing routines or rituals? I do not have any particular writing routines or rituals. I just write when I have the opportunity to.

Do you write in order? For the most part I do write in order but there are times that ideas for certain parts of a book will come to me before I reach that part and I will write it down. I wrote the ending for Swept into the Darkness during the time I was writing the middle of the book.

What is on your playlist when you write? I do not listen to music when I write but if I do listen to music, I listen to 80's. Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, and Annie Lennox are some of my favorite artists that are on my playlist.

Favorite writing snack? I have many favorite snacks but my ultimate favorite writing snack is Muenster cheese, with whole wheat crackers and salami.

Where do you like to write? I like to write in my bed, a place that is very relaxing, laid back and comfortable.

Do you have any advice for authors wanting to publish? My answer would depend on what advice that asked me in particular, but I would tell them to write things they are passionate about, always be as descriptive as they can and be sure to draw in your readers by using good character development, detailed language and captivating plot conception.

Are you currently working on anything else? I am currently working on typing the second book in the Chronicles of the Celestial Series which is titled Swept into Betrayal. I am also handwriting the third book Swept into Revenge which I am working on writing the final chapters.

Who is your favorite character and why? My favorite character is Sydney London. She is beautiful, real, loving, strong, resilient and complex at times. Despite the fact that she is a powerful member of the magical community, she is compassionate, relatable and humorous. She embraces her feelings and speaks her mind.

Favorite book of all time? I would have to pick a series, one book can not stand alone for me, The Sookie Stackhouse Series is my favorite.

Breakfast says a lot about a person, what is your perfect breakfast? Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I love breakfast! My perfect breakfast is bacon, scrambled eggs, homefries, turkey sausage, and white toast, buttered. I know that is a lot of food and a very large breakfast but that is the breakfast that my husband and I have on Sunday mornings.

Please tell us in one sentence why we should read your book!

Read my book if you want to be taken on the ultimate urban fantasy adventure that tells a unique story that blends Angels and Vampires as they battle for survival, freedom and control over the dimensions.
